The
Robert Kidd Gallery, located in downtown Birmingham, was founded
more than thirty years ago by Robert Louis Kidd and Ray Frost
Fleming, graduates of the Cranbrook Academy of Art. While exhibiting
the work of promising young contemporary artists, the gallery roster is further
distinguished by such prominent artists as
Milton Avery, Harry Bertoia, Larry Rivers and Marshall
Fredericks. In addition, the gallery represents estates and
private collections for the acquisitioning and de-accessioning
of art work by significant modern and contemporary artists such
as Hans Hofmann, Alexander Calder, Franz Kline, and Richard
Diebenkorn. Comprising an impressive
5,000 square feet of exhibition space, the elegant two level gallery is a member of The Detroit Art Dealers
Association and is currently a direct representative for the
estates of Milton Avery, Hans Hofmann, and Marshall
Fredericks.
