Robert Kidd Gallery was founded in 1976 by
Ray Frost Fleming and Robert Louis Kidd, both graduates of Cranbrook Academy of Art. While exhibiting
the work of established and emerging contemporary artists, the gallery roster is further
distinguished by such prominent names as
Milton Avery, Harry Bertoia, John Chamberlain, Larry Rivers and
Helen Frankenthaler. Additionally, Robert Kidd Gallery offers services for
the acquisition and de-accessioning
of artwork by significant modern and contemporary artists such
as Deborah Butterfield, Alexander Calder, Hans Hofmann, Franz Kline, and Richard
Diebenkorn. Comprised of an impressive
5,000 square feet of exhibition space, the elegant two-level gallery is a member of
the Detroit Art Dealers
Association and is currently a direct representative for the
estates of Milton Avery, Harry Bertoia, Hans Hofmann, and Marshall
